Applying for a market stall

Although the majority of stalls are currently let to permanent stallholders, we always welcome new traders and are also happy to let any vacant stalls available on that day on a casual stallholder basis. Any vacant stalls let on a casual basis will be available from 7.30am from the Markets Office, 18 Lower Hall Lane, Walsall, WS1 1RL. The Markets Office is manned from 7.00am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Please note that casual traders will only be accepted onto balanced market if the line they intend to sell does not conflict with the established market. Please also note that the Markets Office reserve the right to refuse any trader permission to trade if they do not consider that they are suitable for the market on any day.
To apply for a stall at Walsall, Willenhall, Bloxwich, Brownhills or Darlaston Market, you can make a market stall application online or download an application for market stall (PDF 16KB)
Public liability insurance
All traders are required to carry public liability insurance to a minimum value of £5 million and traders will not be permitted to trade without such cover. The following organisations are able to offer insurance although many others are likely to offer this service so responsibility lies with traders to research and select their insurer:
