Licensing Act 2003
In order to create a more responsive and flexible approach to the way licensed premises and activities are conducted in England and Wales, the Licensing Act 2003 has introduced significant changes to licensing laws.
The act will transfer the responsibility for the regulation of the sale and supply of alcohol from the magistrates’ court to a licensing authority, in this case Walsall Council. It also makes significant changes to the regulation of entertainment and late night refreshment. For more background information please see our Licensing Act 2003 - about the new changes page.
