Congestion is set to ease when an extra carriageway gets put back into use as part of a £17 million road scheme.
Motorists will be able to use two lanes in Wisemore from 29 June .
The road had been restricted to just one lane as part of the ambitious ring road building scheme.
The move is another step in the right direction for the completion of the project to help Walsall roads flow more easily which is being carried out by Norwest Holst and Walsall Council.
Councillor Anthony Harris, Walsall Council cabinet member for highways, said: "This is another piece of good news which shows we are well on track to get the road finished. Motorists and traders have been very patient with us and I’d like to send a personal message of thanks to them".
“Things like Wisemore returning to two lanes is proof positive that we are getting things done.”
The move comes after the installation of 100 foot high lighting columns at the Arboretum road junction and after news the Lichfield Street junction at the Arboretum is set to re-open on 06 July .
The Stafford Street bus lane will be temporarily closed to allow for building work.
Resurfacing of the Wolverhampton Road canal bridge is close to being finished following the replacement of old bridge beams which are no longer capable of coping with the stresses of modern traffic.
Contractors are well ahead with work on the railway bridge in Littleton Street which is set to open to motorists in the summer.
