Finding somewhere to live

The Walsall Learning Disability Service can help people with a learning disability to find somewhere to live with support. We work with mainstream and specialist housing associations to ensure that people have a choice over where they live. We also work with a number of agencies who you can choose to give you support.

We are committed to offering people a range of options such as –

  • living on your own or with friends in an independent flat or house
  • living in sheltered accommodation with people of your own age
  • living in small registered care or nursing homes
  • living with another family in an adult placement
  • living in a village community

If you would like more information then please look at the Housing and Support Plan that can be found on the Strategies and Plans page.

If you would like to talk about having a break then please contact the Integrated Team.
