Walsall Waterfront

Walsall Council has been working actively with partners such as Walsall Regeneration Company to improve the Borough and its town centre. As part of this work, planning permission has been given for the first projects making up Walsall Waterfront. Connections are set out below to the projects that have had planning permission. Other elements will be added from time to time.

Walsall Waterfront Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)

Walsall Waterfront Urban Splash (North) Major planning application

Outline application for a mixed use scheme including leisure, offices, retail, apartments and associated multi storey parking (consisting of 12 buildings, 7 of which are submitted as reserved matters) (excluding landscape proposals).

Walsall Waterfront Jessup (South) Major planning application

Redevelopment for residential (357 dwellings) and commercial buildings ( shops, offices, restaurants,leisure uses) and carpark

Walsall Regeneration Company (WRC)

WRC is focused on attracting more than £755 million in public and private sector investment over the next 10 to 15 years - including more than £500 million in the town centre by 2010 - creating 5,550 jobs and reclaiming and/or remediating 174 acres of land.
