Land Near Brownhills

Description

A small area of wet and dry heathland patches with grassy areas and scrub. Some of the more interesting species which have been found here include heather, bell heather, purple molinea, lousewort, sneezewort and of particular note, bog asphodel and lesser skull-cap. These latter two are uncommon in the West Midlands.

Management Recommendations

Maintain the habitat diversity of the site by retaining wetter area, checking scrub invasion and cutting grass as necessary.
