Complaints / compliments

If you are not satified with the council, its services or the actions of its staff please let us know by filling in our contact form for general enquiries, requests for service, complaints or compliments.

Alternatively you can print and complete our comments, compliments and complaints form.

Where we can help, we want to take prompt action to sort out any problems and issues you may have at home, at work, or in your neighbourhood. Be as specific as possible when filling in this form, and complete all the information you can.

We will investigate and give you a full reply as quickly as possible. For complaints, when the complaint has been allocated to a service area they should send an acknowledgement or contact you to acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days of receiving the complaint. You should then receive a full response within a further 15 working days of the date of acknowledgement. If we can send a full response out within 5 working days of receiving your complaint we would not usually also acknowledge the complaint.

Your comments, compliments and complaints about our services will help us to continue to improve services to everyone. If you are still not satisfied with the action the council takes you may complain to the Local Government Ombudsman.
