Walsall Safeguarding Children Board

To keep children and young people safe, many different agencies need to work together.  The Children Act 2004 required each council to set up a Safeguarding Children Board.  The board must make sure all of the work being done to keep children safe is co-ordinated and that it is making a difference.  The board is made up of representatives from social services, health and hospitals, education, police, probation, youth offending service, Connexions, domestic violence forum and many others.
