Private hire or hackney carriage vehicle licence
All private hire and hackney carriage vehicles must be licenced with the council before they can be used for business. A licence will not be issued until the vehicle has passed the Authorities vehicle test.
Identification plates will be issued for the vehicle once it is licenced, which must be displayed at all times.
