Private hire or hackney carriage drivers licence
Before you can drive a licenced hackney carriage or private hire vehicle you must obtain a driver's licence, if you do not have this licence and you drive one of these vehicles you will be committing an offence.
To obtain a licence you will need to complete the application process, this includes having a medical from a doctor. The links on the right-hand side will help guide you through the process. You will also need to have a medical report completed by a doctor, the form for this can be downloaded below:
