Summer camp 2008
Anglesey
13 July 2008 - 18 July 2008, cost £130
This year we are going to the Island of Anglesey, on a multi-activity trip. Each day students will be able to choose to either climb, kayak or sea level traverse.
Kayaking trips will be around the stunning sea cliffs and beaches of the Island and it is a great way to improve your kayaking skills and see some amazing caves and wildlife, such as seals and seabirds.
Climbing will be either on the sea cliffs around Anglesey, or we may venture into Snowdonia on to some of the awesome mountain crags.
All the activities will be tailored to suit the ability level of everyone in the group, and will be staffed by our well qualified teachers.
We will be camping on a private campsite in an excellent location, with easy access to the sea and a sandy beach. The site has good facilities, with hot showers. You will be expected to help out with some of the cooking and washing up!
In the evenings, there will be opportunities to relax around the campsite, or play ball games, and last year we spent many hours down on the beach either swimming or having camp fires.
Transport will be arranged by Bryntysilio, and we will be picking the students up from Walsall College of Art and Technology in the Town Centre, at 12pm on Sunday 13 July 2008. We will then travel to the centre to pick up some equipment, and then continue on to Anglesey. The return journey will be on Friday 18 July 2008, and we will drop the students off at the same place, at 4pm.
The course is open to anyone who has been to Bryntysilio, and would like to have another go at some of the activities. If you are interested, please contact the centre for a booking form.
